Privacy Notice
The short version: your progress stays on your phone, you never need an account, and the little the game sends us is anonymous and can be switched off.
No accounts, no adverts, and nothing that follows you.
Moove Out keeps your progress on your own iPhone. To make the game work and get better, it uses three outside services: Apple for the App Store and Game Center, RevenueCat to confirm purchases, and PostHog for anonymous play data and error reports. This notice explains exactly what each one receives.
Who is responsible
Moove Out is made and published by Xzist Digital Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16698221, with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at hello@xzistdigital.com.
What is kept on your iPhone
Moove Out saves your game so it remembers where you are. All of this is stored on your own iPhone, in the app’s private storage. It is not sent to us, and we cannot read it.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Stars for each level, and the level you are up to | To keep your progress and open new chapters |
| An unfinished puzzle, including its Undo history | So you can carry on where you left off |
| Coins, hints, missions, Daily Pen history and achievements earned | To keep what you have earned |
| Gold coats, and which purchases have already been handed over | To keep what you own, and never pay out a purchase twice |
| Settings, and which animals you have been introduced to | To remember your preferences |
None of it identifies you. Deleting the app deletes it. We do not run a cloud save, so we hold no copy; a backup of your whole iPhone, made by you or your device provider, may include it.
Anonymous play data and error reports
To see which puzzles are too hard, where players give up, and what goes wrong, the game sends short reports to PostHog, an analytics service, whose servers for us are in the European Union.
- What is sent: things that happen in the game — for example, a level being started, finished or left, with its number, the moves taken, the stars won and whether hints were used — and details of any error in the game’s code. Each report also carries the kind of device, its operating system and version, screen size, language and time zone.
- What is not: your name, email address, Apple Account, advertising identifier, contacts or location. PostHog is set to discard IP addresses rather than store them.
- No lasting identifier. Each time the game starts, it makes a new random number for that session, which is never saved on your phone. So we cannot recognise you from one day to the next, or link your play to you.
- Why: to fix problems and make the game better. Because the reports are anonymous and limited to that purpose, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the game.
- Your choice: turn off Share anonymous play data in the game’s Settings and nothing more is sent. When you do, the game notes that choice on your phone so it can respect it.
- How long: we keep play data for as long as it helps us improve the game, and no longer than two years.
Purchases
Moove Out offers four optional purchases. Apple takes the payment and holds the record of it under Apple’s privacy policy. We never see your card details, billing address or Apple Account.
We use RevenueCat, a service based in the United States, to confirm purchases with Apple. Each time the game starts, it asks RevenueCat whether this iPhone owns Unlimited hints or the Supporter Pack, so they work without an account. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created by the app, the purchase records Apple shares for it (which product, when, the price and the store country), the app version and device type, and the IP address its servers see. We use this to deliver what you bought, restore it, and handle refunds. RevenueCat keeps these records while we use its service, so that purchases can be restored.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, the game reports the achievements you earn to it. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not receive your Game Center name or friends, and you can sign out of Game Center in your iPhone’s Settings at any time.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send, and use it to answer you. Our email is hosted by Microsoft 365. We rely on our legitimate interest in helping players, and keep support correspondence for up to two years after your enquiry is resolved, unless we need it longer to meet a legal obligation or deal with a claim.
What Moove Out does not do
- No accounts. You are never asked for a name, email address, phone number or password.
- No adverts. There are no adverts, ad networks or advertising identifiers in the game.
- No tracking. Nothing is shared with other companies to follow you across apps or websites, and the game never asks for permission to track you.
- No selling. We do not sell or rent information about players to anyone.
- No device permissions. Moove Out does not ask for your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts or notifications.
Where information goes
PostHog stores our play data in the European Union. RevenueCat is based in the United States. Where any of our providers handle information outside the UK, they do so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
Children
Moove Out is suitable for all ages and is likely to be played by children. It has no accounts, chat, adverts or sharing, and the play data it sends is anonymous and session-only, so core gameplay gathers nothing that identifies a child. Apple manages purchases, including Ask to Buy for children in Family Sharing. Parents and carers can turn off play data in the game’s Settings, and are welcome to contact us with any question or request on a child’s behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Email hello@xzistdigital.com. Because play data carries no lasting identifier, we cannot find a particular player’s play data; turning off Share anonymous play data stops any more being sent.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or to the data protection authority where you live. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
About this website
Everything above describes the app. These Moove Out pages on xzistdigital.com are a different thing. This website uses Google Analytics to count visits, and only after you accept analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Visiting these pages tells us nothing about how you play, and the app reports nothing to this site.
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies the website sets, and our company Privacy Policy covers everything else Xzist Digital Ltd does.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If the game ever starts collecting something new — for example, if optional adverts are added — this notice will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly rather than buried.
