1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Xzist Digital Limited (“Xzist Digital”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at xzistdigital.com (the “Website”).

1.2 This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

1.3 We set non-essential cookies only where you have given your consent through our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the Website cannot work without them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time; see clause 8.

2. What are cookies?

2.1 Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, phone, tablet or other device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site.

4.1 We group cookies into the following categories:

We use what they collect in aggregate, to understand the Website rather than to identify you. These cookies require your consent.
3. Functional cookies. These cookies enable the Website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to the Website. These cookies require your consent.

5. Cookies we use

The tables below reflect the cookies actually set by the Website today: the first-party cookie that remembers your cookie choice, and the Google Analytics cookies that are set only after you accept analytics cookies. We do not run advertising through this Website and do not load advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking pixels (such as Meta, LinkedIn Insight or Google Ads), so there are no marketing cookies to consent to. If we add anything else in the future, we will set it out here and ask for your consent through the cookie banner first.

Strictly necessary cookies

We also store a small xzist_consent_log entry in your browser’s localStorage. It is not a cookie, but is mentioned here for transparency: it holds an audit trail of the consent choices you have made (each one with a timestamp) so we can demonstrate compliance.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it. These cookies are set only if you accept analytics cookies in our banner. Until you do, Google Analytics is loaded in a consent-denied state and sets no cookies and no analytics identifier on your device. If you reject or later withdraw consent, these cookies are not set.

Functional cookies

None set at present. We do not currently use a chat widget, embedded videos, or other interactive third-party widgets that set functional cookies.

6. Third-party services

6.1 We use the following third-party services to deliver the Website. Each may set their own cookies or process limited information about your visit. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6.2 Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally as a result, the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy (clause 9) apply.

7. How long do cookies stay on my device?

7.1 The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a session cookie or a persistent cookie. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

7.2 The expiry times for the cookies we use are set out in the tables in clause 5.

8. How to manage your cookie preferences

9. Do Not Track signals

9.1 Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want your online activity tracked. Because there is no industry-wide consensus on how to respond to DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. You can, however, exercise the choices described in clause 8.

10.1 We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be indicated by an updated “Last updated” date.

10.2 Where changes are material, we may notify you through the cookie banner or another prominent notice on the Website.
